Bottle background
Four Gate Whiskey Company sources barrels of whiskey rather than distilling their own. Split Stave by Kelvin is finished in barrels made with alternating charred and toasted staves.
A wood-forward, spice-driven bourbon with creamy vanilla and custard sweetness balanced by complex oak char and baking spices. The split-stave finishing creates a chewy, integrated oak profile with warming pepper and cinnamon through the finish.
