How it works
We check Australian retailers regularly and bring many bottles into one place, each with its flavour profile and where it’s stocked. Buddy uses that, along with what you tell him about your taste, to suggest bottles for you.
Prices are shown in Australian dollars as the retailer listed them, GST included where the retailer shows it that way. Where we compare a bottle to its US shelf price, that’s an indicative value guide to help you judge a fair premium — not a live quote or a promise of a saving. Always confirm the current price with the retailer before you buy — the retailer’s price at checkout is the one that applies.
The fine print
- Recommendations, not advice. Buddy is an AI and can get things wrong. His suggestions are there to help you choose, not as professional, financial, or purchasing advice. Check anything important before you spend money.
- Prices go stale. Any price we show is the last one we saw on a public retailer listing, not live stock. Retailers change prices and sell out without telling us, so confirm with the retailer before you buy.
- We don’t sell alcohol. BourbonBuddy is an information and recommendation service. We don’t sell, supply, or deliver alcohol. You buy directly from the licensed retailer.
- Independent. We aren’t affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any retailer or brand, and we earn nothing from your clicks. Bottle, brand, and retailer names belong to their owners and are used here only to identify products.
- Your data stays yours. Your account, journal, and chats with Buddy are private to your account. We never sell your data, and the only sharing is with our hosting and AI providers, which is unavoidable in running the service. Conversations with Buddy may be reviewed to improve his accuracy and are kept for up to 90 days.
